Wawanesa Deepens Commitment to Brokers and Customers Through Increased Availability of Integrated Technology

 

WINNIPEG, MB November 5, 2018 – The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company, Canada’s largest Property and Casualty Mutual insurer, is excited to announce that it is deploying two leading-edge digital solutions - Guidewire InsuranceSuite™ and BluePass - across its Western Canadian markets beginning today and continuing through the month of November.  Wawanesa partnered with Capgemini for end-to-end implementation of InsuranceSuite and BluePass.

Guidewire InsuranceSuite

Building on the momentum of a successful launch in its Alberta Regional offices and across its Personal Lines business in the United States, Wawanesa’s InsuranceSuite is now available for Personal Lines in British Columbia. For the Saskatchewan and Manitoba markets, InsuranceSuite will be available on November 19.

InsuranceSuite consists of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter and will be used by Wawanesa across its entire property and casualty insurance lifecycle.  The software has helped Wawanesa to modernize its systems and to be more responsive to the needs of brokers and customers.

BluePass

Wawanesa will also celebrate an important milestone with the introduction of BluePass in British Columbia on November 12 as well as Saskatchewan and Manitoba on November 26.  This unique tool was successfully piloted in Alberta earlier this year, thanks to some very special insurance brokers.

BluePass is fully integrated with InsuranceSuite and is a broker portal that provides access to real-time rating and processing for new submissions, policy changes, cancellations, online billing changes and payment processing.  There is no lag and no disconnect – brokers get their information straight from Wawanesa in real-time. 

This milestone is an important accelerator in Wawanesa’s business transformation, supporting future innovation and providing its brokers with a technology platform that is real-time, Internet based, and full integrated.  Wawanesa continues to deepen its commitment to brokers, investing in technology that will deliver win-win solutions for brokers and customers.
