Travelling this summer?

Why not rent out your home while you’re away?

Summer is a great time to get out of town and experience what other places have to offer – especially during Canada’s 150th celebrations. Over the next few months, communities across the country will be bursting with major events and activities as we move into the summer festival season and celebrate our country’s rich history.

While you’re out and about exploring, why not earn additional income by renting out your vacant home, condo or seasonal property to guests who will be travelling to special events in your own backyard?

A great alternative to traditional accommodations

Sometimes, we just want to feel at home even though we’re on a holiday. With the homesharing community becoming an increasingly popular option with travellers, listing your home, condo or seasonal property on a recognized rental network like Airbnb, HomeAway or VBRO is a great way to bring in extra income and make use of your space while it’s not in use.

And with our new Short Term Rental Insurance, you can hand over the keys with confidence knowing that your property and belongings will be covered in the event of loss or damage.

How long can I rent for?

Under our Short Term Rental Insurance coverage, you can rent out your homeowners or condominium property for up to and including 90 or 180 days within a policy period, with each rental period being 30 days or less.
