Wawanesa Climate Champions
Building climate resilient communities
Climate resiliency is a growing need in every community we insure.
Our new Wawanesa Climate Champions program invests $2 million annually to help people on the front lines of climate change who are working to build more resilient communities.
We’re bringing our program to life with community partners, granting programs and employee volunteer events across three pillars: Environmental Guardians, Community Protectors and Youth Stewards.
Environmental Guardians
Conservationists, farmers and Indigenous Peoples working on nature-based solutions for climate resiliency.
Community Protectors
Disaster preventers, responders and rebuilders working to protect our members and communities from climate-related disasters, before and after they occur.
Youth Stewards
The next-generation of Wawanesa Climate Champions taking action to help our communities become more climate resilient.
Wawanesa Climate Champions is the signature investment of our overall Community Impact Program.
