Is there a grace period if my payment is late?

A policy cancelled for Non-Payment of Premium at Renewal or Mid-Term will be Reinstated without a lapse in coverage provided:

  • The provided payment is received and post marked within 25 days of the payment due date.
  • The payment is the full amount that is past due.

My policy canceled for non-payment. If I send a payment will my coverage be reinstated?

Can I increase coverage for some of my personal items?

Yes, increased coverage options are available to meet your individual needs.

 

Are my personal belongings covered when I am traveling in a foreign country?

Yes, your personal belongings are covered while you are traveling anywhere in the world.

If I apply for renters insurance, do I have coverage immediately?

In order to have coverage immediately:

  1. Contact our Quote Specialists at 1-877-WAWANESA (929-2637) to receive a quote and bind your policy over the telephone (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM)
  2. A premium downpayment will be required by debit card, credit card (not currently available online a one time withdrawal. Please note mailing your payment by check will defer a request for immediate coverage.
  3. There have not been any earth movement or subsidence losses in your area.
  4. There is no mandatory evacuation order currently in your area
  5. You do not have any employees working in your residence.
  6. There is no trampoline, skateboard ramp or diving board on the premises.

 

 

I would like to obtain a Renters policy. What steps do I take?

Is there a fee to cancel my policy?

A $50.00 cancellation fee will apply on any new policy that is cancelled within 60 days of the initial effective date.
