Wawanesa continues to bring you additional peace of mind through the added benefit of our Roadside Assistance coverage. If your vehicle is disabled, courteous, prompt assistance is available by calling our toll-free number 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Roadside Assistance is available for:

  • Emergency towing
  • Flat tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Fuel delivery
  • Winching service
  • Vehicle lockout/locksmith services

Please note:
Additional charges for the cost of gas, fuel, oil, loaned batteries, replacement parts, tire repair, tire delivery, cost of replacement tires or keys are not covered under this benefit.

If Roadside Assistance Coverage is shown in the declarations, we will pay or reimburse reasonable expenses you incur for necessary emergency services for a covered disabled auto.

For each covered disabled auto in each Policy period, there is a benefit limit of one (1) reimbursement per disablement and a total of two (2) disablement incidents.

There are two ways by which you may initiate options to obtain service under this coverage benefit:

Sign and Drive[1]

When using this option, simply call the toll-free number on your Roadside Assistance Identification Card or use the electronic or digital app to initiate a service request. A representative will verify coverage and dispatch a service provider to your location. The necessary service will be performed, you will be asked to sign the receipt, and payment will be made by Wawanesa directly to the service provider. The benefit limit using this option is $100 per disablement. No out-of-pocket expense will be incurred by you unless the cost of service exceeds the benefit limit.

Outside Services

If you opt to use a licensed service provider of your choice, you will be required to pay for the service at the time of the disablement. We then will reimburse you if the service is covered and written verifiable proof of the expense (including your Wawanesa policy number) is provided to us within thirty (30) days of the date of service. The benefit limit using this option is $50 per disablement. Lockout Services benefit limit is $100.

  1. The Sign and Drive Option is not available in some U.S. Territories. For these instances, compensation will be made in the form of a reimbursement.


The above brief descriptions are provided to assist in understanding the coverage options available. Any coverage provided by a Wawanesa Insurance Policy is subject to the actual policy wording, endorsements, and declaration page(s) and all terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions therein.

Roadside Assistance is not available for trailers, motor homes or other recreational type vehicles (including RVs, tour buses and travel trailers).
